Jewellery & Goldsmith Skills – Weekend
The Traditional Jewellery Skills Weekend courses are immensely rewarding, extremely popular and are suitable for both beginner and improver. Course Fees are €195 for the weekend and include – tuition, tools, stones, base materials and lunch.
Silver may be purchased on a ‘pay for what you take home’ basis (Approx Euro 20 for a Silver Ring) The Courses are project led with an emphasis on completing pieces over the weekend. This course is suitable for beginners and improvers. As a beginner you will be introduced and learn extensive use of the piercing saw and will complete a filigree project on the 1st day. On the second day you will make a ring and will learn filing, piercing, polishing, using the pendant drill and polishing motor. You may also learn techniques such as planishing and sand blasting.
The workshops are fully equipped, bright with solid beech work benches, each workspace is supplied with all the tools you will require.
